Tender Loving Canine Care was established as a Limited Liability Corporation and launched its business in late December 2007.  The motto of this company is "quality care for precious pets."  The goal of this company is to provide convenient MOBILE PET GROOMING SERVICES to COLORADO residents in DOUGLAS COUNTY including the areas of Castle Rock, Castle  Pines, Highlands Ranch,  South Parker and Franktown.  Services are also provided in ELBERT COUNTY in the area of Elizabeth.  

Who We Are         

Vera Thompson, owner and manager of Tender Loving Canine Care, has had the passion to start a business such as this for several years.  She has dedicated many hours of her time outside of her regular career choosing to volunteer for several organizations working with animals in a number of ways.  For example, she does dog therapy with her trained Collie and Dalmatian visiting with Alzheimer's residents  at Christian Living Campus.  She has done dog obedience training and worked for the past several years for an organization called, Freedom Service Dogs.  This organization takes in dogs from shelters throughout Colorado and trains them to become service dogs for mobile-impaired individuals in wheelchairs.  It is a "win-win" result.  The dogs get adopted into a loving home and they in turn help their owners to lead more independent lives. Finally, she has worked for several years performing dog grooming for the Denver Dumb Friends League ( The Buddy Center).  As a result of her excellent grooming skills, she has helped abandoned, abused and neglected dogs in becoming successfully adopted by making their physical appearance significantly better.  As for her professional career, she has worked for the past thirty years in  management within the fields of education, counseling and human resources.  She has been an entrepreneur as manager and owner of two companies, a workers compensation vocational rehabilitation consulting practice and a word processing and transcription business.  

At this time, Vera has made the decision to follow through on her life long passion of

working with animals as her full time career.  She would like to offer convenient quality grooming care to her customers within the comfort of their own homes.  This eliminates the stress on the pet of being transported to a grooming salon and being kenneled and exposed to multiple dogs.  For the owner, it eliminates the stress and infringement on their time of taking the pet to a grooming salon, leaving the pet for several hours and then having to return to pick them up.  With mobile grooming services, Vera can bring her services directly to her customers and offer them the convenience and time efficiency of quality care for their pets.  The focus of grooming services includes:  massaging shampoo, conditioning and deoderizing treatment, hand blow dry and brushing, clipper and scissor trimming, toothbrushing, nail, ear and eye care.  Additionally, a special service called the "Furminator Shedless treatment" is also offered for chronic shedding issues.
